This little tree persistent and shiny leaves has white fragrant flowers and orange colored fruit. Native to China, the mandarin was named after the Chinese mandarins to whom it was traditionally offered as a present. The relaxing and soothing effect and the much appreciated fragrance of the Mandarin essence make it one of the most loved relaxation aromas.

HOW TO USE

Common Uses: To promote sleep and a calm atmosphere, Mandarin essential oil may either be diffused or diluted to 1-5% and applied topically. Because Mandarin contains Methyle N-methylanthranilate and is potentially phototoxic, it is important to dilute before applying topically and to avoid exposing treated skin to the sun for 24 hours. To support the digestive system, massage Mandarin diluted in plant oil to the abdomen.

Topical dilution: 1-5%, more for specific conditions under professional guidance.

Blending Recommendations: Basil ct linalol, Bay Laurel, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cardamom, German Chamomile, Blue Tansy, Roman Chamomile, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Coriander Seed, Cypress, Fennel, Frankincense, Rose Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Marjoram, Neroli, Nutmeg, Sweet Orange, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Scotch Pine, Ravintsara, Rosemary ct cineole, Rose Otto, Sandalwood, Spearmint, Spikenard, Thyme ct linalol.
